It saves you TONS of time. Cutting out the filler is nice n all, but cutting down the exaggerated slow pacing of the anime is the real reason to watch One Piece. The anime has many a 5 minute punch scenario, and the One Pace lads have shortened those moments to sensible lengths.
Yea watch one pace or read the manga. The normal anime imo has horrible pacing, I have watched it all and caught up to it, but that’s only cause I had read the manga and was already super into the story.
If you insist on watching the anime, you **have** to watch One Pace, yeah. I still recommend the manga above anything else, but the Seiyuu do a pretty damn good job, so One Pace tries to give you as close a product to Oda’s original vision as Toei’s shitty animators allow for you to experience.
Strong disagree that you need to watch the fillers, I love One Pace and wish I found it before my first full watch through of the original anime. There’s some good filler of course, but I’d prefer to go back to it later for fun
One Pace doesn’t only cut the filler, it makes the rewatch as fast as possible too. It tries to make it 1:1 to the manga and sometimes takes away the ambiance the anime adds to it.
The pacing of the original anime changes a lot depending how close the anime was to the manga but that wasn’t a big issue before Skypeia. Most people who didn’t like Skypeia and other minor arcs as much likely have the anime to blame due to horrid pacing.
I’d recommend using it starting Skypeia for sure but before that skipping filler episodes and watching it on an official site you should be golden! Its a lot easier to watch it on Netflix than being a pirate!
Worst offenders if memory serves right are Skypeia, Long Ring Long Land, possibly Thriller Bark, Marineford and definitely Dressrosa. But again, the regular pacing is only as bad as how much time the animation team had to work with.
Exceptional quality cut. Great way to get up to speed and skip the fluff. You won’t notice the cut at all. Never seen such an outstanding recut.
However, personally, I dropped it. Mainly, because it’s more of a cut that follows its principles too much and I would have preferred an opinionated one.
With it, you’ll mostly get the anime version of the manga. However, the anime does have highlights that are outside the manga scope. I remember dropping it as soon as I saw, it did not feature the individual strawhat specials after sabaody. Or the Boa Luffy simping during the journey to Impel Down.
An opinionated cut would have maybe exerted looser constraints. And they might have kept some of the strawhats just vibing in. I assume beloved filler like navarone is not in there, too.
At this point, the right manga translation might even give you more. Just for the cover stories alone.

It’s slow at the start but you will grow to love it. It’s so good that if there’s a way to delete my memory of one piece to watch it all over again. I would.
Watch one pace from the start, especially if you’ve only seen a couple of episodes of the anime. Trust me, it will make a difference. The anime made some changes in the beginning that make it kind of worse imo
I may be burned at the stake for this, but if anyone new prefers Dub for any reason I’d recommend One Piece Kai as well. More so after the time skip. It’s similar enough to One Pace (except you know for Dub). It’s caught up till the end of Dressrosa, and will continue as arcs onwards air in their entirety.
One Pace should be the definitive viewing experience. I watched it all the first time as One Piece, and I’m rewatching with One Pace and it’s night and day. Having 2-3 episodes condensed into one seamless episode makes the viewing so much easier, and speaks volumes as to how much Toei is fluffing it. I’m almost up to dressrosa now but you can honestly watch most PTS arcs in one night if it’s through One Pace.
The pacing of the anime is not a problem if you have time and enjoy spending it with one piece, I think a lot of emotional scenes hit harder because of the time it takes. I haven’t tried one pace myself, but if you are actually concerned about some dragged scenes and want to catch up faster, one pace should probably do it. If you like reading manga, just reading it instead is also a good idea since its just better than the anime. You can see the cool animated scenes after reading it
I realize this is not the most popular opinion, but I particularly dislike One Pace. It isn’t bad and yeah they cut the bullshit and they do make the pacing better, but… idk, tbh the pacing of the show only truly bothers me on the weekly episodes, when you can binge watch them it makes it a lot better and I dislike some of the cuts they make. This is just one man’s opinion, but I would say either watch the anime (i would recommend netflix, not only cuz its good but also because you support the show) or just read the manga.
Bro thats just a masterpiece more u go on the stores more the things make sense ya know and like u can make a lot of theories about it and idk its just amazing in absolutelly everything
You are on the one piece sub. Shit is like a religion here lmao. You already know what we gon say.

One Pace is awesome makes it so much more watchable and enjoyable

Also welcome to the crew!
One Pace is the way to go, though I know there are some arcs they haven’t adapted yet so you might have to switch to the normal anime sometimes

I’d say if you value your time and don’t hate yourself One Pace or the manga is the way to go.
It’s slow at the start but you will grow to love it. It’s so good that if there’s a way to delete my memory of one piece to watch it all over again. I would.
after watching the Doffy fight in One Pace I am an eternal fan of the project

I really like one pace

One pace is waaaaayyyy better. Manga still the best tho
If I use an example from the collective Internet then: as good as Breaking bad, Stranger Things and Twilight combined then times by 2.
I might like One Piece.
Very comical show, join the crew for best results

Good idea starting with one pace, you’ll catch up in no time
I started a couple months ago. Dbz was my fav anime. I’m closing in on episode 300. I am getting a Luffy tattoo sometime soon. One piece > Dbz
ONE PACE EDITORS ARE UNSuNG HEROES!!!!!!!!!!!
One pace is the way to go
One Pace is best for rewatch.

Very good.
One pace 🤢🤮
You will feel like you are a part of the story once you make it to the end
Don’t listen to what anyone says, watch the sub anime then move on to manga when you are done
one PACE is for rewatching, so if your new to one piece do yourself a favor and watch the normal show.
Just keep watching till the first 50 eps. You will get your answer.
One piece is a masterpiece ! Enjoy your time and try not to rush (my mistake) I’m all caught up and part of the weekly watchers @.@
potentially unpopular opinion, but i think one pace is a pretty bad experience and it only really becomes a good way to watch when you reach WCI.
Bro thats just a masterpiece more u go on the stores more the things make sense ya know and like u can make a lot of theories about it and idk its just amazing in absolutelly everything
100% recommend watching the original. The reactions might seem like a drag at first, but you will come to love them
Imo watch the original anime but skip over filler episodes, there are lists online of which episodes are completely filler.
