Pine Jam Productions has been pretty popular in recent years with their projects like the anime adaptation of the light novel, Gamers! and their original net animation Tawawa on Monday. And they’re once again flooding the anime headlines with their new original anime Do It Yourself!!
The anime will take on a light-hearted tone as it will portray the unintentionally comical lives of a group of high school girls. Since it’s an original work by the Pine Jam studios, the manga adaptation is going to be serialized in Manga Up! magazine, parallel to the anime adaptation.
While the manga is illustrated by Koyubita, the anime adaptation is written by Kazuyuki Fudeyasu and directed by Kazuhiro Yoneda. The anime will have an ensemble of quirky and interesting characters designed by Yūsuke Matsuo, and the music is composed by Ryōhei Sataka.
The writer of the show, Kazuyuki Fudeyasu, should be pretty familiar to anime fans as he’s the brains behind beloved shows like Black Clover, That Time I Got Reincarnated As a Slime, Bungo Stray Dogs Wan!, How Not to Summon a Demon Lord, and the list goes on. So there’s a big chance that Do It Yourself!! is going to be a banger like his other works.
Also, Pine Jam studios already have a reputation for creating heartwarming and fan-favorite stories, there’s no doubt that Do It Yourself!! will be the same. As its anime debut is drawing near, here are some things you should know about it.

What is Do It Yourself!! About?
Regardless of where you’re from, High-school is certainly an exciting period of everyone’s life. It’s also a fragile period of time, and the actions we take in these times have the ability to shape our future moving forward. Things like making good friends and veering off bad habits during this time can define a person’s character and personality.
Do It Yourself!! tells the story of such a high-school life. We follow the lives of a group of high-school girls as they struggle to keep their grades up, all the while trying to have fun as part of the school DIY club where they make wonders out of everyday household items.

The show tells a very grounded and relatable story of a bunch of girls as they step toward their bright future. From the short trailer the show gave us, we get that the storyline is not at all going to be complicated but truly simple and clever in its narrative. We expect the show to be a mix of comedy and a slice of life with a hint of high-school drama.
The trailer also showed us the art style of the anime, and it’s simply marvelous. The warm cartoonish tone gives out a comical vibe and is just simply beautiful, making it just perfect for a slice-of-life anime. And the characters it presented us were also pretty interesting and naturally hilarious.
Main Characters from Do It Yourself!!
The main characters we were introduced to were Serufu Yua, Miku Suride, Rei Yasaku, Takumi Hikage, Kokoro Kōki, and Juliet Queen Elizabeth VIII. These six quirky girls will take on whatever projects their teachers assign them, and even though it might take a fair amount of time and struggle, they will certainly complete those projects using everyday household items and keeping the essence of DIY.
Sure, sometimes they’ll fail, but they will never give up. With the combined efforts of their friends, they will see through any and every difficult project that may come their way, all the while being hilariously antic.
When is Do It Yourself!! Season 1 Episode 1 Release Date?
The latest anime from Pine Jam Productions is scheduled to flag off with its first episode on Thursday, October 6th, 2022, at 12:30 AM.
The first episode will probably focus on the introduction of all the characters to the audience as well as to the other characters of the show.
Where to Watch Do It Yourself!! Season 1 Episode 1?
The anime will be officially premiered on TV Tokyo at the aforementioned time and date, and from then onwards, the anime will air on TV Tokyo every Wednesday. Do It Yourself!! will also be available to watch on AT-X and BS11 every Thursday from 6th October onwards.
As Crunchyroll is licensed to present the show outside Asia, Do It Yourself!! will also be available to stream on the platform using a Crunchyroll subscription.
