Gotoubun no Hanayome
The 2019 winter anime has a slight twist than other plots of the animes recommended to you. Fuutarou Uesugi, who is your typical top high school student, has a difficult life at home. With his “polite” personality and reclusive nature, he doesn’t have any friends, and with his father in debt- he faces even a worse life by barely making it through. However, life brings him a chance to earn wage five times the price of the market by tutoring a high school student.
Unfortunately for him, the person he has to teach is a female transfer student who he had a disliking argument with, and now he not only has to teach her but also her other 4 sisters- Miku, Nino, Ichika, and Yotsuba. It would seem an easy task for anyone, but the students are actually adamant about not studying and rather flunk, which puts Uesugi’s need for money in line. Thus, he must get the sisters to study and lead them to graduation so as to ease his father’s economical condition. The 12-episode anime brings a lot of twists and turns for the fans to watch for sure.
Toradora!
This anime must be on your watch list if you are extremely attracted to love triangles. The plot revolves around Ryuji Takasu, a high-school student with a gentle and compassionate personality but looks that make him look like a ruthless evil person, which makes people avoid him. In a falling house as that of him comes Taiga Aisaka.
Taiga is the opposite of Ryuji- with a small stature but a loud personality and violent temper. Both of them are neighbors, with Ryuji having to take care of the innocent girl who is always ready to fight. What brings them together to help each other with their love life is their crush on each other’s best friends.

There they meet their childhood friends Nao Yorihime and Akira Amatsume, with other characters also making an entrance.
However, all doesn’t end well as Haruka starts remembering things to haunt him from his youth. A dark secret that only the twins know starts breaking them in this peaceful silence.

Sing “Yesterday” For Me
Living a monotonous life and not knowing what the future has, Rikuo Uozumi works aimlessly at a convenience store in Tokyo. But when Haru Nonaka appears, he finds it odd why would she like to befriend him. Little does he know that even she is alone just like him and wishes to come out of her comfort zone to explore life. Just as he makes terms with his life, he tries to reconnect with his old college crush and friend, Shinako Morinome. Shinako carries her own bags of demons and secrets which aren’t letting her life peacefully with Rikuo.

The forbidden love story cycle brings us to Citrus. While Yuzu Aihara loves making new friends when she transfers to this new district, she finds it more than weird to fit in with the ultrastrict all-girls school.
